iOS 8.1.3 Update Now Available, Demands Less Storage Space

Finally the Cupertino giant rolls out the iOS 8.1.3, a new update for its mobile devices that fixes a variety of bugs, and doesn’t even rob users of a major chunk of their phone’s storage, as the update is just about 247 MB. Users have been cribbing about free space with the launch of the iOS 8, as they had issues updating because of the massive size of the download. Other major fixes include zapping a bug that prevented app results from popping up in Spotlight search.
In addition, it also fixes a bug that prevented users from using their Apple ID password for use with Messages and FaceTime. It also fixes a bug that did not allow multitasking gestures from working properly. Also added is a configuration option for education standardized testing via Apple’s devices.
These issues might have resolved some of the more common users concerns about iOS 8, especially the amount of storage space the update demanded. To update the device, go to the Settings menu, select General and choose software update. For more information, you can head over to Apple support.

Eid Celebration through out India !!!


Muslims around the world celebrated with prayer and food during the Eid al-Fitr festival on Monday, marking the end of Ramadan 2014, the Islamic holy month of fasting. The annual holiday, which lasts for three days, marks the anniversary of the Quran being revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.

There was some confusion this year as to when Eid would be celebrated, The Guardian reported, but both the Saudi Press Agency andthe Fiqh Council of North America declared Monday, July 28, as the end of Ramadan.

The three-day festival, sometimes abbreviated as “Eid” or “Eid Mubarak,” marks the end of the monthlong daytime fasting during Ramadan,which began on June 28 this year. Eid al Fitr begins after the new crescent moon appears and falls on the first day of Shawwal, the tenth month in the Islamic lunar calendar, when Muslims celebrate unity. During Eid, many join in Islamic prayer, known as salat while saying "Allahu Akbar," or "God is Great," and feasting.

Ramadan is an annual celebration held during the ninth month of the 12-month Islamic calendar, starting after the sighting of the new moon. The holy month began this year on June 28 at sunset, or “rukyah,” when the moon was spotted. The celebration lasts for 29 or 30 days until the next new moon appears, which happened on Monday. The month of fasting is celebrated by more than 1.5 billion Muslims around the world, including in the U.S., where there are nearly 2.6 million Muslims, according to the Pew Research Center.

The purpose of Ramadan is to focus on spirituality, prayer and withholding any acts of violence during the fast. Many Muslims around the world are expected to participate -- with the exception of the elderly, sick and pregnant -- and wish each other "Ramadan Kareem" or "Ramadan Mubarak."

For the end of Ramadan, Muslims celebrate Ed al-Fitr, Arabic for “breaking the fast.” Muslim families will exchange gives, sit down for meals and pray together for three days.

Traditional greetings during Eid al-Fitr are “Eid Mubarak,” which means "Blessed Eid," and “Eid Said,” meaning "Happy Eid." Muslims also donate food, called “Zakat al-Fitr” or “charity of breaking the fast,” so that the poor can also celebrate the holiday.

During Ramadan, Muslims are expected to refrain from food and drink and abstain from smoking and sex from dawn to dusk as one of the five pillars of Islam. The breaking of the fast, or iftaar, begins at dusk by eating dates.  Some Muslims have slightly different variations and have broader definitions of practices during Ramadan.

YouTube will start removing suspended accounts from June 16.

YouTube today announced plans to improve the accuracy of subscriber counts on channels starting next week. On June 16, the Google-owned company will remove suspended accounts from all channels' subscriber counts. While this means you may notice a minor drop in your subscribers, you shouldn't see any impact on your views or watch time since they are not active users.
Once the initial update is rolled out, YouTube will use an automated system to remove suspended accounts from subscriber counts as they occur. The company says the new system is reversible in case something goes wrong and an account is suspended in error. This is part of a greater push by YouTube to ensure its site metrics are free of spam and abuse.

Lava International Limited has officially announced their new budget-segmented smartphone device, the Lava 3G 402+. The smartphone packs a 4 inch WVGA screen and a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, and marks a significant improvement over its predecessor, the 3G 402, which had been launched earlier this year.

We had earlier posted that the device was up for pre-order on Flipkart, but, now Lava have given their official stamp of approval to the device. Lava say that their 3G series of devices aim to provide consumers with ‘the best possible 3G mobile experience at an affordable price’to help them stay connected to their social lives and for easy and fast internet access, and bring 3G connectivity to the masses.

Lava 3G 402+ packs a 4 inch WVGA screen that is powered by a 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 Dual Core processor. A 3 MP primary camera with auto-focus and and VGA front facing shooter are handed imaging responsibilities. The device improves upon the 3G 402 by doubling the RAM to 512 MB and packing in 4 GB ROM, effectively eight times the internal storage of its predecessor which had a meager 512 MB internal storage. Lava say that the improved specs should enhance the gaming experience of titles such as Temple Run which should play with ‘ease and swiftness’, and the improved storage should allow for a significant number of applications to be installed on the device without the dreaded memory low warning from popping-up. The device is powered by a 1500 mAh battery and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Lava have also introduced some software add-ons such as ‘Shake’ and ‘Keyboard magnifier’ which they claim improve the user experience and enhance productivity. Calls can be answered and disconnected by shaking the phone. Keyboard magnifier, as the name suggests should help while editing the text.
